Puyallup pays price for easy victory

DEAN J. KOEPFLER/THE NEWS TRIBUNE
Puyallup goaltender Kyle Bilharz makes a point-blank stop against Emerald Ridge’s Angel Ventura during the Vikings’ 4-0 victory Friday.

From today's TNT:

The Puyallup Vikings finally have control of the South Puget Sound League South Division boys soccer race. With three games left until the postseason, they weren’t about to let district rival Emerald Ridge fool with it.

The Jaguars left a lasting impression, however, in the final minute of the game Friday.

Puyallup had things well in hand at the time, and simply was running out the final seconds of a 4-0 victory at Sparks Stadium.
